Martin Springer (* 1966) studied Philosophy and Physics at the
University of Heidelberg.
So far Martin's mission has been to contribute to the conversion of
digital media technologies from a promise to practically exploitable
tools to the benefit of society and business.
In 1998 Martin founded the company Convergence which developed
Linux based software for digital television (DVB). Between 2002 and
2005 he worked as a product manager for international manufacturers of
set-top boxes. In 2004 he joined the Digital Media Project (DMP) and
became an adept at Digital Rights Management (DRM).
Today he consults companies in the digital media sector and is a
member of the Austrian cooperative osAlliance.
